In the role of Content Manager, you will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic content development and building both national and local awareness of the Holiday Retirement family of brands. The manager owns the editorial calendar and is responsible for managing internal and external resources that develop content across a broad distribution: corporate and local community web presence, landing pages, educational articles, email, newsletters, sales collateral, direct mail, and partner sites. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to develop content and industry thought leadership, and the manager develops impactful content strategies to drive lead generation across multiple markets.

Content Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and manage the brand content strategy. Own the editorial vision and develop a content calendar that covers a broad range of formats. Articulate through text, imagery, graphics, and video the Holiday Retirement mission, value proposition and positioning in the senior living industry.
  • Execute a comprehensive strategy that drives both lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Assess overall content performance and identify current gaps.
  • Create content and campaign calendars at the national and local community level.
  • Manage external agency and resources. Liaise with third-party content providers and freelance writers.
  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns and align key stakeholders. Work with key internal stakeholders to develop relevant content topics.
  • Effectively develop and publish content in multiple environments, including website and social media, video, print, collateral, direct mail, and email.
  • Perform in a varied role that includes both personal creation and management of internal and external resources.
  • Track content performance, and effectively articulate content analytics and strategic decisions based on data.



  • 7+ years of experience with content marketing.
  • Experience managing external freelancer or agency resources is important.
  • Experience in performance marketing or lead generation environments is required.
  • Expertise in a variety of content environments (direct mail, email, web pages, social media, sales collateral, press releases).
  • Knowledge of SEO practices is a significant plus.
  • General knowledge of digital marketing strategies and execution across multiple channels (i.e. paid search, social media, email).
  • Superb written communication skills and demonstrated excellence in producing a wide variety of content outputs.
