In the role of field marketing manager you will work as an integral part of the Marketing leadership team to oversee the development and execution of companywide marketing campaigns as well as provide guidance and counsel on location specific marketing initiatives. You will focus on the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, traditional media channels and tools and resources to support a nationwide sales force. You are an expert in media buying, direct mail, creative services, printing and fulfillment leading a variety of inhouse and third party partners in executing a strategy you manage.

Field Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Marketing team and third parties to develop regularly scheduled national, regional and local promotions and campaigns – including events, price specials and product communications.
  • Develop key performance indicators and budgets for each campaign and ensure results are monitored against these items and reported out.
  • Manage the segmentation of targets and design short and long term campaigns that focus on potential customers, professional referral sources and others who influence buying decisions.
  • Manage the day to day activities of the Holiday media mix with third party agencies and partners including mass media, direct mail and yellow page listings among others.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on results from different types of media based on a variety of KPIs.
  • Oversee the creation and fulfillment of marketing collateral for company and community use including copywriting, design, inventory and fulfillment.
  • Work with existing third parties and identify and help select new third parties to improve the productive and creative uses of media for lead generation and lead management activities.
  • Develop and manage an automated design on demand solution for communities to use in their regularly scheduled marketing communication activities.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the field marketing team and others – enabling them to diagnose and solve marketing issues at challenged communities.
  • Foster relationships with the district and regional executives, and establish collaborative approaches to planning and strategy development.
  • Identify and implement new tools and improvements to existing tools and processes that will increase the efficiency of the field marketing team’s ability to assist their communities.
  • Communicate to the field the benefits of working with field marketing and ensure compliance with company marketing policies and use of approved vendors.
  • Educate the field about the value of home office marketing services and serve as an advocate for marketing programs.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer marketing, preferably in the senior living, multi-family or hospitality industries.
  • Confident and effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • An enthusiastic and energetic person who can organize and manage people around common goals.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and consultative skills.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under tight time constraints, manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet project deadlines while delivering a quality product and excellent service.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage one’s own time and provide leadership to others.
  • Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
